Pedro 'Pete' Hernandez
Pete was Master Carpenter, who built his family not only with his wife Helen, Kids, Grandkids and Great Grandkids but also with his Siblings, their family and those lives that he touched, he considered not just friends but a part of his Family.
Pete was preceded in death by his dad Aniceito M. Hernandez; his mom Consuelo Rodriguez Hernandez; a brother Aniceito M. Hernandez Jr.; a sister Nancy Hernandez Aragon.
Pete is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Hernandez, 4 Daughters, Angelina and husband William Looney, Tina Hernandez, Dolores Hernandez and Beebe, Kristie and husband Carrey Thompson; 2 sons, Pedro Hernandez Jr. and wife Veronica, Doug Hernandez and wife Jennifer.
Pete took great pride and joy in his 15 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, siblings; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
A lineage of men, who create men that grow, not to conquer, not to rule, not to boast but to love, to nurture, to teach, to make boys grow into men that will fight for their beliefs, that will stand up for what is right, that will sacrifice for the needs of family. His legacy continues through his grandsons and great grandsons.
Pete has impacted so many lives throughout his 80 years of life. You will be greatly missed.
Pete loved his Country and honored that by joining the United States Army.
Services to be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Canyon, TX; on Saturday, March 18, 2023, @ 1:00 pm. Father Taylor Elzner celebrating. Vigil and Rosary will be on Friday, 3-17-23, at Holley Funeral Home, in the Chapel at 6:30 pm.
