John William "Bill" McLarty
Obituary
SFC John William "Bill" McLarty, retired, was born March 23, 1951, and passed away on April 23, 2022. John was the third son of Max L. McLarty and Imogene Rogers McLarty of Perryton, Texas. He lived in Perryton until June of 1969 when he enlisted in the U.S. Army. John served two tours in Vietnam and later in Panama. After 20 years, John retired in 1989 on a Medical Discharge. He moved to Canyon 1991-1992.
John was preceded in death by both of his parents and an old brother, Michael McLarty.
John is survived by a brother, James McLarty and wife Lori of Albuquerque, NM.; 2 sisters Susan Crawford and husband Jerry of Amber, OK and Janet Cameron of Mesa, AZ. Numerus nieces and nephews and friends.
John was cremated and internment will be in Amber, OK.
A Memorial Service will be at Holley Funeral Home, 205 N. 11 Street, Canyon, TX, at 4:00 PM, on July 23rd, 2022.
