Greta (Mears) Armstrong

Greta Lavonne Mears Armstrong, 77 of Dawn, TX passed away on December 7, 2022.

Greta was born in Portales, NM on August 8, 1945, to Claude and Ruby Mears.

Greta married Ronny Joe Armstrong on March 1, 1963, and together they had 5 children, Bobby Joe Armstrong, Cynthia Lavonne Armstrong Stanton (husband Richard), Pamala Marie Armstrong Lawson (husband Robert), Scotty Wayne Armstrong (wife Jayme) and Jeremy Seth Armstrong.

Greta grew up on their family farm in the Rhea Community, 20 miles Northwest of Friona, TX. She was a helpmate to Ronny and a housewife/mother.   She enjoyed sewing, craft work, fishing, and camping.

She was survived by her children Bobby, Pam (husband Robert), Scott (wife Jayme) Jeremy, and son-in-law Richard Stanton; grandchildren include Alena Armstrong, Heather Armstrong, Willow Armstrong and Max Armstrong. Also included are great grandchildren Andrew, Ashlie, Adrian and Oaklynn.

Greta was predeceased in death by her husband Ronny and her daughter Cynthia Lavonne Armstrong Stanton.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
