On Friday, March 18. 2022, Cynthia Levon Stanton - a loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt - suddenly passed away. She was 54 years old. She loved to go by Cyndi as she thought it was unique, which fit as she was truly unique and loved by many.
Cyndi was born August 5,1967 in Friona, Texas. She and her family moved throughout the Panhandle living in many farming communities, from which she got her love of the land that was interjected into every aspect of her life. She graduated from Muleshoe High School and went on to become a legal secretary, a school teacher and entrepreneur which included her own nutrition shop in Vega, Texas. Throughout all of these experiences she is best remembered for her love, kindness and giving beyond measure. Whether spoken or unspoken, she was always keenly aware of someone in need. She gave so much of herself.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Richard Stanton, parents Ronnie and Greta Armstrong, siblings Bobbie Armstrong, Pam Lawson (Husband Robert ), Scott Armstrong (wife Jayme) and Jeremy Armstrong. Nieces and nephew include Alena Armstrong, Heather Armstrong, Willow Armstrong and Max Armstong. Also included are grandniece and grand nephews Ashliee, Adrian and Andrew.
She and Richard helped to raise her three nieces. Favorite memories included crafting, hunting for fresh farm to table produce and hosting her grand nephews and grand niece for sleepovers: video games ready and charged with their favorite morning farm breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. These children were the joys of their lives.
Upon seeing her for the last time, Richard commented that she looked so beautiful, peaceful and finally at rest: “I adore and love you honey. I will miss you so much”.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to your favorite charity in honor of Cyndi so that others may have joy in their lives. This will continue her legacy of love.
